Why wasn't che gevera or malcolm x ever in our high school textbooks?

Well, Che Guevarra most likely isn't in American textbooks because he had no direct influence on our history. Granted, he was asinated by the CIA. But, I do believe that gets covered more in college courses. I think it's pretty obvious that Malcolm X has little to no pagespace in textbooks because of a socio-political agenda and to a lesser extent, a religious agenda. Some would call his policies extreme in that he promotes violence to combat violence. His ideals are less about turning the other cheek and more about crackin the spines of the cheek slappers. However, I'm sure the less ignorant teachers are more than willing to give an accurate account of his history. It should be required information in my opinion though.
