Tornadoes??????

Currently living in Lexington, Kentucky. I'm from upstate NY so I'm not used to severe weather with tornadoes...therefore I'm deathly afraid of them. We've had a couple warnings lately and I get scared to death...Tell me a little about tornadoes in LEX. I live on the 3rd floor of a 3 floor apt complex...so I only have a bathroom to hide in!
