Is something wrong with my dog's teeth?

Lately, my lab has started "nibbling" on the comforter of our bed. Everytime she jumps on the bed she begins to nibble. My mom tells me that her mastiff does the same thing. She's not ripping the blanket either. Is something wrong with her teeth or gums or is this just a silly habit?
