Can I start my birth control now?

After some mailing issues, I have just received my first pack of birth control today. I was supposed to start Sprintec, a 28 pill regimen, Sunday, March 6th. My doctor said I was perfect to start March 6th, because my last period ended Thursday, March 3rd. The pack says to start the first Sunday after your period, but am I able to start tomorrow?
