If you could change ANYTHING in literature, what would it be? (taking out or adding a character, laws, etc.)?

It could be anything in literature. What would you change and why would you change it? I'm having trouble because everything I am thinking of are excellent like Hamlet, Sir Gwain and the Green Knight, Lord of the Flies, the Sound and the Fury and I can go on forever. I wouldn't change a word in any of those.
