Should I continue my english degree, or start a career as a fireman? I hear a english deg. is not even worthit?

Any degree is a good degree but, it has to be applicable to your career of choice. A Bachelor's of English won't open the doors to an accounting career. It depends upon what you want to do. If you want to be a fireman, get an education that's applicable to that.
